Our first step in India: the beautiful chaos of New Delhi. In every corner, in every street, something is happening that attracts your attention. A man sleeping in the middle of a busy round-about, children in search of plastic bottles, a nest of puppy's behind a trash can, a cow wandering around in the railway station, baby's with eye make-up, men up until their chest in the dirt trying to fix a sewage, and people eating, praying and selling things everywhere. Where to look? And what's that smell? And cars, buses and motorbikes honking at everything anytime (the one with the loudest horn seems to have priority in India). Like often said, it's an attack on all your senses at the same time. Incredible, incomprehensible, but beautiful !
Former street children from the NGO Salaam Baalak gave us a tour through their old neighborhoods in Delhi, explaining life on the street. We also visited a school and shelter, where the kids loved to play with our cameras...
